City Auditor Extends Office Hours - Taxes Due April 15th
Chillicothe taxpayers will have a few extra hours to file their income tax returns before the April 15th filing deadline. Chillicothe City Auditor Kristal Spetnagel announced that the office will remain open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 12th and Monday, April 15th. The tax window is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, while telephone calls can be received until 4:30 p.m.
The following individuals are required to file city returns:
· Chillicothe City residents with earned income.
· Anyone who worked in the Chillicothe City limits whose employer did not withhold Chillicothe City taxes during the year or were under withheld.
Those who do not need to file:
· Retirees with no earned income.
· Non-Chillicothe residents that work inside the City whose employer withheld City tax.
